Minor Compliance Pledge

Employing minors (individuals under the age of (18) comes with an important responsibility for our leaders AND yourself as the minor employee. You will see our leaders follow the minor employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to, building work schedules based on allowable in-times and out-times, maximum hours per day/week, and required break allowances. In addition to the schedule and hours regulation compliance, your leader will also require the necessary minor documentation specified by your local, state and federal government.

As a minor employee of KBP we ask for you to do your part in ensuring we all follow the mandatory compliances while employing you, by taking the pledge below.

As a minor employee of KBP, I understand and pledge to follow the Federal/State Law work restrictions:

  • I will not in any way touch, operate, repair, set up, oil, adjust, or clean a power-driven food slicer in any restaurants operated by KBP.
  • I will not operate a motor vehicle or ride as a passenger on behalf of KBP.
  • I will not be involved in any maintenance work, including but not limited to repair of the establishment, machines or equipment, or operation of power driver mowers or cutters or climbing on a ladder.

As a 15-year-old employee, I also pledge that:

  • I will not be involved in loading and or unloading goods to and from trucks.
  • I will not prep food work or work in the cooler or freezer.
  • I will not clean, work with or touch the Bunn hot water machine, toasters, grills, fryers, pressure cookers, or any equipment not specifically approved.

While employed by KBP, I acknowledge and agree to follow the above-mentioned Federal/State work restrictions. I understand that if I witness or know of anyone violating any Federal/State, I must contact Employee Call Center/Hotline (888) 971-2991, calls may be kept confidential. Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
